Interlibrary Loans (ILL)
Use Interlibrary services to order materials from other libraries. If UCR does not own materials needed, currently enrolled UC students, faculty and staff may borrow those materials from another library.
Materials available through ILL include books, periodical articles, newspapers, microforms, CD's, and videos. Articles requested are either supplied via email or as a photocopy. There is usually no charge for articles obtained through Interlibrary Loan; the library subsidy normally covers these charges.

Reserves Services
Reserves Services contains materials that professors have requested to be placed on reserve. The collection consists of Library and personal copies of books, articles, pamphlets, sample examinations, class assignments and lecture notes. All materials have restricted circulation. Faculty might also place materials on iLearn.

Circulation Services The Circulation Services Desks are located near the entrance of all libraries. Go here to check out or inquire about the status of library materials, inquire about lending regulations or resolve issues regarding library records.

Government Publications
The Rivera Library serves as a Government Publications depository for United States and California state documents and maintains various types of instructional and learning materials in Education Services for teachers in training.

Reference Services
Reference librarians are trained professionals who help library users with their information and research needs. One may take advantage of this expertise through desk service, telephone, email, or appointment. Reference services also include help guides and tutorials, instruction services and support.

Computers in the Libraries
UCR Campus Libraries have several hundred computers for faculty use.  These include research stations, email stations, curriculum support/multimedia stations, and Ethernet connections for individual laptops. Currently, none of these computers have word processing capability.
All Libraries are connected to the UCR wireless network, and provide both instruction labs and classrooms. Please contact a Reference Librarian to reserve a room.
